In order to get relief from this, people are enjoying Thandai in the heat. The Thandai available at the famous shop named Raju Thandai at Ghantaghar in Firozabad is unmatched. This Thandai has an amazing taste of saffron and almonds. People come here to drink Thandai from morning to evening.
Thandai is being sold at the same place for 90 years
Raju Thandai, a shopkeeper near Firozabad’s Ghantaghar Square, spoke to Local 18 and said that his shop was started by his father about 90 years ago. His father used to make a glass of Thandai for 25 paise and serve it to people. But after his death, he is now making and selling Thandai. He has been doing this work for almost 40 years and he prepares Thandai with absolutely pure milk. He prepares and mixes almond and saffron paste in this Thandai. People get a different pleasure after drinking it. In summers, there is a crowd of drinkers at his place from morning to evening.
The price of Thandai is 50 rupees per glass
Raju, a shopkeeper selling Thandai, said that people come to his shop from far away to drink this Thandai. He said that not only Agra Etawah but even Kanpur Banaras, if people come to Firozabad, they definitely come to his shop to drink Thandai. The Thandai available here is prepared in a very pure way. People like it very much. Its price is ₹50 per glass and after adding saffron almond paste, its price becomes ₹70. People add a bowl of saffron almonds to it as per their wish. After which drinking it becomes a different pleasure.
